Can America Survive Redemption?

Gary Cooperberg, December 1, 2005

In a society bereft of Biblical values, perversion prevails and fills the vacuum. Our world today has seen a rejection of G-dly concepts. In the United States, a country which was born and nurtured on Biblical principles, a newly endowed concept of "Democracy" to "protect" the people from religious ideology has taken hold. Actually, to be honest, Democracy and Theocracy are not always compatible. Democracy declares that the majority somehow knows what is right. Theocracy declares that only G-d knows what is right. When a society develops in a manner in which large numbers of the community are atheists, then Theocracy comes under fire.

The United States of America was designed to be a nation governed by the people rather than by a dictator. The President and the Congress are servants of the people, not absolute rulers. But, intricately woven into the fabric of this great nation was the absolute recognition of the ultimate authority of the Creator of the Universe. Unalienable rights were endowed upon the people by their Creator, not by Congress.

Today we find a consistent effort to remove the concept of G-d from all government institutions and from the classroom. This is not only a violation of the intentions of those who founded the USA, but it has laid the groundwork for the self destruction of this nation. The only reason America became a great nation is because she included G-d as a full partner. To reject such a partner is to pull out the very foundations upon which this country was built and thus to cause it to fall apart. . . as it is already beginning to do.

I daresay that this frightening phenomenon seems to be a worldwide malady. Even in the State of Israel we see a growing effort to abandon G-d. Murderers are given recognition as Nobel Peace Prize winners and diplomats. Political leaders ignore obligations to both G-d and their constituents as they throw Jews out of their homes and give political recognition to our enemies.

In short we can easily see that our world is plummeting at breakneck speed. Darkness prevails as confused people who have been torn from G-d find a perverted replacement for Him in allah. We are not fighting a war against terror today. If we are fighting at all it is a war of the G-dless against the G-dly. By failing to address this reality we are making our lives bitter, and endangering the future of our country.

Israel has G-d’s guarantee that she will never be destroyed. This doesn’t mean that we will go unpunished for our refusal to accept our Divine Role. Terror is our reward for trying to make peace without including our G-d. Terror has now become a punishment for many other nations as well. Aside from 9-11, just this last year the USA has suffered from unprecedented "natural" calamities which have taken tens of thousands of innocent lives. No government body has the power to stop a Katrina from wreaking havoc and bringing death and destruction to our country, but the people of America do have that power. If the American People can bring G-d back as a partner, America can survive the earthquakes and other tragedies which are destined to plague our world as redemption unfolds. There is no place to escape the Wrath of G-d.

The Bible tells us that the nations will gather together to destroy Israel. But, in the end, it will be those nations that are destroyed by G-d. The nation of Israel is the tool which G-d has chosen to become the beacon of light to guide the world toward righteous living. That its present leadership has rejected that obligation cannot change our Biblical destiny. Forces are already at play which will dramatically change the way that country is governed. Eventually a natural descendent of King David will renew the Kingdom of Israel and return genuine Biblical Law to that country and lead the entire world to true redemption. That day is coming sooner than we think.

I no longer believe in Israeli democracy, as we have seen our leaders openly defy the will of the people with impunity. Worse than this our Prime Minister, who deserves to be criminally punished for his treasonous behavior, has not only admitted to rejecting the principles of his own political party and leading our country upon a path diametrically opposing the will of those who elected him, but has quit that party and seeks reelection via a new party designed to accept his warped principles. This new party has attracted the worst part of Likud and much of Labor under its banner. And all of the polls indicate that Sharon will win the next election easily. This too is our punishment for giving credence and legitimacy to scoundrels who presume to run this country.

On Election Day in Israel I intend to be out of the country. On that day I will be in the United States, participating in a vital conference in Washington DC. Vision America, headed by Rick Scarborough, is sponsoring a very important effort to attract conscientious Americans, who still believe in G-d, to discuss how we can bring G-d back to America. I urge all who are able to attend to do so as there are far too few efforts to combat the decadence which is overtaking this great nation. If we address the issues and join forces there is yet hope to save America from self destruction.
