Nazareth Tourism Sought In Promotion Of Peace Gary Fitleberg, December 22, 2004The mayors of Nazareth and Upper Nazareth will sign a joint manifesto today to encourage tourism to the town and its surroundings. Mayors Ramez Jerayssi and Menahem Ariav will be joined by Tourism Minister Gideon Ezra, Boulus Marcuzzo of the Latin Patriarchate and Salah Afifi of the Nazareth Peace Mosque. The document will be written in Hebrew, Arabic and English and will be signed during the ceremony marking the Christmas celebrations in Nazareth. The ministry will provide colored lights, background music and fireworks for the celebrations on Friday and tourists will receive a festive stamped envelope.
