Texans Learn Homeland Security Tactics From Israel

A team of medical professionals and first responders from Austin, Texas, recently spent 10 days in Israel examining how the Jewish state responds to domestic terror attacks, The Daily Texan reported.

The Austin team will now consider how the lessons from Israel can be used to improve American homeland security tactics. Because of the constant threat to Israelis from Arab "Palestinian" terrorists, the Jewish state has become a worldwide leader in developing strategies to prevent and respond to terror attacks.

"You can train or read books, but you have to talk to the folks who are the best in the world," said Chris Callsen, an Austin emergency medical specialist who went on the trip to Israel. "(The Israelis have) done it enough that they are very good at it."
