A Jewish baseball player who has a Star of David tattooed on one leg and the post-Holocaust motto "Never Again" on the other will play next year in Japan.

Gabe Kapler, an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox team that won the 2004 World Series, inked a one-year deal to play next season for the Yomiuri Giants. Kapler has called himself a role model for young Jewish fans, but decided to play on Yom Kippur this year, saying, "I am not really a practicing Jew. It would be selfish to be a practicing Jew on only one day."
