Iran Shows Off New Nuclear Reactor Gary Fitleberg, October 30, 2004Iran has unveiled a nuclear plant that could produce material for an atomic bomb, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Manoucher Madadi, head of research and development at the Arak facility, led journalists on a tour of the plant and said the international community would not be able to stop Iran's nuclear program. The announcement follows Iran's refusal to comply with international demands that it suspend the enrichment of uranium, a key step in assembling nuclear weapons.
