The World Needs More Freedom: President Bush Is Making That Happen

Kevin D. Korenthal, October 19, 2004

It really is that simple folks! Do you believe Democracy and Freedom can overcome tyranny and despotism? If you agree that it can then you must also agree that President Bush is the man to lead this nation for the next 4 years.

When President Bush came to office in January 2001, the country was in a recession, corporations with slovenly accounting were finally caught and enemies gathered and planned to attack this nation. On September 11th, 2001, nine months into the Bush Presidency our enemy brought their Jihad to America's shore. It didn't take long for the President to realize that America must defeat this enemy not just beat it back as the past administration had tried to do. The President also realized that the enemy did not consist solely of Al Qaida Terrorists. The President realized that in order to claim victory in the war on terror, America must continue past bin Laden and his followers to include those nations that harbored and sponsored terrorists. We have already seen that killing or capturing the leaders in this enemy does not make for defeat. The defeat comes when they are all dead or captured and those that desire to be free are in control. That means this war is going to for a very long time. Most legitimate estimates indicate this war will age for decades to come.

But in those years, there are going to be plenty of victories to spur Democracy forward. Iraq will have elections in January and I believe a decisive win for Bush on November 2nd will set into place the conditions for some reforming achievements in the War On Terror. Think about it. Who is more likely to cause the terrorists and their enablers to flinch? Which man will maintain the pace and stay on the hunt for tyranny and despotism? Bush who has led consistently or Kerry who has proven he is partial to cutting and running. President Bush has the resolve to see this trial through and if he is successful, he will have transformed the entire Middle East and made the world a safer place. The enemy knows this is one possible future. With every breath they breathe they will work to prevent that scenario from coming to pass. With Democracy breaking out in Iraq and spurred on by reform in other regional governments, American courage and strength will have reshaped the entire East Asian and Middle East region.

With the Middle East in hot pursuit of Freedom and Democracy, tyrannical leaders like Saddam Hussein and fascist Jihadists like Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al- Al Zarqawi will not be able to rise from the ashes of those that terrorized before them. The only way we can secure that positive future is to persevere in this war. It is President George W. Bush that will meet the challenges and will lead us to more victories, setting the stage for America to win The War On Terror. It will be a long and hard road to travel. But if we do not make this commitment, America will live in fear and eventually our entire way of life may be threatened. All Western Interests will suffer from a Middle East again allowed to sink into tyranny.

President Bush's opponent has shown clearly, he does not have the resolve and moral fortitude to win the War On Terror. He has jumped from position to position with each shift in the political winds. His current position that this is the "wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time" gives security to the enemy. The enemy wants EVERYONE to think that this war is illegitimate! John Kerry is spreading the word for them. Some of you just recently believed such an accusation was nothing more than a scurrilous political attack on the Senator. Perhaps you now find yourself understanding the depravity of the positions Kerry has taken on the most important issues of the day.

There is simply no other candidate that could be running right now that would be a better choice than George W. Bush. He is a likable leader with policy that is bold yet sensible. He is every bit the commander in chief that FDR and Reagan were. The challenges are different yet the enemies each faced all shared a hatred for freedom. What would history have written if either of those men, in the middle of the struggles of their time, were defeated in their re-elections? A plainly different world would exist today. It is imperative that we allow George W. Bush to play out the hand we have been dealt. The President is betting big because he knows that in this war, the winner takes all.

Friends don't let friends vote for John Kerry out of ignorance.
