US Vetoes UN Anti-Israel Resolution

The United States vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution that would have rebuked Israel for defending itself against Arab "Palestinian" rocket attacks from Gaza, The Washington Post reported.
The resolution was part of an "incessant stream of one anti-Israel resolution after the other" at the U.N., U.S. Ambassador John Danforth said.
Arab "Palestinian" terrorists have killed two Israeli children with Qassam rockets, prompting Israel to deploy military units to Gaza to quell the attacks. The U.N. resolution, offered by Algeria and Pakistan, did not mention the rocket attacks. "When the rest of the world gangs up on Israel with insidious silence about terrorism, it does not advance the cause of peace," Danforth said.
