You and I call it lying. And it does not look like it earned them very many points. The Polls have indeed kicked up 3 points towards Kerry in the Kerry/Bush/Nader race. But at the same time Bush’s approval ratings have went up 5%. The Democrats were unsuccessful in undoing the record of this president.

What you witnessed this week, if indeed you had the stomach to witness it at all, was a convention of The National Historical Revisionists Society, or NHRS for short. All of a sudden, September 11th never happened, and John Kerry did not push support, then no support, and now support again for the war in Iraq. And don’t ask him to tie it to the War on Terror. The NHRS cannot admit the Iraq war was a necessary front in the War on Terror. While he will concede Saddam Hussein belongs behind bars, he refuses to admit that the capture of Saddam Hussein has made America a safer place. You must realize that to The NHRS, because THE WORLD is not a wholly safer place today, the War in Iraq is a failure and by extension, so is the broader War On Terror.

I guess it all comes down to what John Kerry said, huh? Mostly it came down to hollow platitudes like, "I defended this country as a young man and I will defend it as president,’’ yet another reference to John Kerry’s 1.5 tours of duty in Vietnam where he left early at the rank of Lieutenant. In fact John Kerry’s military service was the central theme of the Democratic Convention. Kerry and his supporters are putting forth the idea that a decorated Vietnam Veteran, who later protested the war to the harm of his "brothers in arms" would make a better president than the wartime president who has been commanding this war since it began.

It’s political theatre. Of course John Kerry is the liberal ticket this year and his running mate, John Edwards brings his own little omen of the destruction of the American Legal System. It seems Mr. Edwards made hundreds of millions of dollars convincing juries that some babies delivered naturally developed cerebral palsy but would not have gotten it had they been delivered by way of cesarean section. Edwards used Junk Science and demagoguery to convince the juries that obstetricians are to blame for causing cerebral palsy when they do not perform a Caesarean section immediately after a fetal heartbeat monitor indicates a warning. The result has been that North Carolinians have less choice in obstetricians and pay higher insurance premiums, as do we all. Kerry/Edwards and the Democrats have been pushing Universal Healthcare since the 1st Clinton campaign. You may remember that President Clinton put first lady Hillary Clinton in charge of making a plan to offer free healthcare to everyone during that 1st 4 years. Of course it became to be known as Hillary care and never got off the ground. I guess the $100 Billion a year price tag didn’t work into Clinton’s annual budget to Congress. It won’t work now either.

Medical liability insurance costs in Oregon have jumped as high as 400 percent for some specialists and more than 175 percent on average for all doctors during the past four years. Many doctors all around the country have been forced to close down their practices due to the exaggerated cost of insurance they need to operate. The American Medical Association has said that rising malpractice premiums threaten access to care by driving physicians from medical practice .

John Edwards and The Trial Lawyers Association whom he is a member of, have combined forces in disjointed unison to work the American Justice System and win multi-million dollar awards for mistakes that mounted (in many cases) to the luck of the draw. When Kerry chose Edwards for his running mate, he sent a message to American businesses that a new sheriff was coming to town and this sheriff sees government as a tool to enrich ambulance chasers at the expense of not only "Big Business" but small town physicians as well. Ann Coulter had a nice phrase : "I guess with John Kerry's choice of John Edwards as his running mate, he really does want to stand up for all Americans, from those worth only $60 million to those worth in excess of $800 million".

Of course none of this came out in the convention. Very little of the real issues came out at this week. The Democrats taking a queue from their sycophants in Hollyweird have created from the truth, whole fiction. And in the process their so-called "political theatre" has become exposed for what it really is, a collage of revisionist platitudes and moral relativism .
