Sharon "Plagiarizes" Kahane

Gary Cooperberg, June 22, 2004

About thirty years ago Rabbi Meir Kahane issued a warning to Israeli Arabs. He told them that he expects to eventually get into power, and when he does he will remove all the Arabs from Israel. He then told them that if they sign up now, indicating a willingness to leave peacefully, that he will see to it that when transfer takes place they will be compensated for their properties and given assistance to relocate. If they did not sign up, they would not receive such compensation. The rabbi received several positive responses from Israeli Arabs before he was thrown into jail by the Israeli government for incitement.

Today, under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, we find Rabbi Kahane’s program re-instituted, only with slight modification. The present government has seen fit to warn its Jewish population living in the Gaza Strip that they will be thrown out of their homes. If they choose to leave willingly, they will be given compensation. It is interesting to note that although Rabbi Kahane was jailed for suggesting that Arabs will some day be transferred from their homes, when a Jewish government openly declares its intention to transfer Jews from their homes there is no suggestion of illegality and imorality!

Owing to the intense hatred of Rabbi Kahane by the left; and the intense fear and jealously of his increasing popularity by the supporters of the right, the concept of transfer of our enemies from our country was given the same vilification as was the rabbi. Just as he was arbitrarily labeled a "racist" by politicians who feared his increasing popularity, so was the concept of transfer of our enemies made into a forbidden subject. This has forced us to ignore the most humane and reasonable solution to our most threatening problem. It has seen us accept the murder of our citizens as not immoral enough to justify removing the murderers! Only a blind fool cannot see that the only other option left to us will be to destroy our enemies. . . which will eventually happen.

It defies the imagination to find the entire spectrum of our political system refuse to consider the humane concept of transferring our enemies out of our country, while accepting the very concept which they abhor as unjustified "racism" when it applies to Jewish citizens of Israel. Why is it so difficult to understand that it is not racism to seek to save Jewish lives by removing our enemies, who are presently murdering us, from our midst? And why do our leaders feel it acceptable to reward our enemies by seeking to expel Jews from their homes rather than remove our enemies?

The idea of transferring Jews is a cowardly attempt to avoid the inevitable clash with our enemies. The very suggestion of such a concept invites our enemies to intensify their acts of terrorism because we are teaching them that terror pays.
